County Veterans Service Officer (CVSO)

Bob Bedell, the Clark County Veterans Service Officer, is located in the Clark County Government Building at 501 East Court Avenue Room 417 in Jeffersonville Bob Counsels, Advises and Assists Military Service Veterans, Veteran’s Survivors and Their Dependents in Obtaining Benefits Provided for Them by County, State and Federal Laws as Clark County’s Veteran’s Service Officer.

The Veterans' County Service Officers offer a full range of services, including assisting veterans and survivors with applications for:

  • Service connected disability compensation
  • Low-income pension benefits
  • Survivor benefits
  • Military discharges / awards & decorations
  • VA medical care
  • Home loan guaranty
  • GI Bill benefits
  • Vocational rehabilitation
  • Discharge upgrades
  • Burial benefits
  • Property tax abatement
  • Remission of fees for children of disabled veterans
  • Motor Vehicle License Plates
  • Peddlers, Vendors, or Hawkers License
  • Resident Veteran Hunting and Fishing License
  • Golden Hoosier Passport
  • Delayed High School Diplomas for WWI and WWII, Korean and Vietnam Veterans
